Action Lab is an action design team with a dedicated space focused on the physical development of cinematic action.

Here, action is conceived, tested, and refined before it ever reaches the set.
Atmosphere, body, and narrative working together as a single entity.

ACTION IS NOT IMPROVISED. IT IS DESIGNED.

Action is not just movement, impact, or risk.
It is a narrative tool that defines characters, decisions, and consequences.

At Action Lab, we understand action as part of the cinematic language.
That’s why every sequence is designed from the story, translated into the body, and developed in a controlled environment long before reaching the set.

«We don’t improvise action on set.
We build it with time, intention, and purpose.»

The process

Action doesn’t start on set. It starts much earlier.

1. STORY & CONCEPT

Every sequence is born from the narrative.
We analyze the context, the characters, and the decisions that must be expressed through action.

Action does not illustrate the story.
It tells it.

2. DESIGN

We translate the idea into the body.
Choreography, movement, rhythm, impact, and intention.

Here we define how the scene moves, not just what happens.

3. REHEARSAL

Action is tested in a controlled environment.
We work with the body, the space, and the real timing of the sequence.

Rehearsal reveals what works… and what doesn’t.

4. TESTING & ADJUSTMENT

Movements, distances, and timing are refined.
Risks are assessed, and the visual readability of the scene is optimized.

Nothing is left to chance.

5. REFINEMENT

The sequence is refined until it reaches the balance between:

  • Narrative
  • Safety

  • Impact

  •

When it reaches the set, it’s already built.

6. SHOOTING

Action is executed with control and clarity.
The team knows what to do, when to do it, and why.

Shooting stops being improvisation
and becomes creative execution.

THE SPACE

“A space in service of action”

Action needs a place to be tested before facing the set.
An environment where the body, movement, and risk can be explored with control.

Action Lab features a physical space designed for the development of cinematic action.
Not as a stage.
As a laboratory.

WHY SPACE MATTERS

The space allows action design to be brought into practice before shooting:

– Rehearsing full sequences.

– Testing choreography, falls, and movement.

– Adjusting distances, heights, and real timing

– Evaluating risks and making informed decisions

– Arriving on set with the action already defined

Here, mistakes are not a problem.
They are part of the process.

AN ENVIRONMENT BUILT FOR CONTROL

The space does not impose a single way of working.
It adapts to each project.

It allows action to be built with intention, safety, and creative freedom—
reducing improvisation on set and increasing clarity on camera.

Action is not discovered on set.
It arrives prepared.

Let's design action together

We design action through story, movement, and intent.
If you’re developing a project where action is essential to the narrative, let’s talk.
